CEO Day | noun

1: weekly block of time set aside to work ON your business, instead of IN it

2: day for focusing on priorities, goals, and revenue generation

3: for reflecting, recharging, and resetting in order to set yourself up for success

Why CEO Days?

A weekly CEO Day should be part of every business owner’s arsenal. It’s more than just an admin or catch-up day, though, and it goes beyond a “no call Monday”.

Your CEO Day should be your sacred space, an opportunity to push pause on client work and daily operations to focus on moving the needle in your business

It’s truly your time as a business owner to be a visionary and take care of your business so that you can keep building a business and life you love - without the overwhelm

An intentional CEO day that focuses on the health and wealth of the business (and you as the CEO) needs to be centered around the 3 R’s.

Reflect

Complete a 360° check-in and get a lay of the land

Recharge

Take care of you and the business

Reset

Set yourself up for future success

When you commit to a weekly CEO Day that balances time spent on Reflecting, Recharging and Resetting activities, you’ll plug the time leaks in your business. The result? You’ll…

✔️ Know exactly where to focus your efforts to grow.

✔️ Identify roadblocks slowing you down in your client work.

✔️ Eventually have more time available for life outside of your business.

CEO Day curious?

Frequently Asked Questions About CEO Days

  • Short answer: Not specific tools, no. But I would recommend having a tool you can use to collect and manage your business data, and then a tool for project/task management.

Longer-ish answer: I recommend Airtable as a baseline. The free plan is more than sufficient for your CEO Day (I used the free plan for the first couple of years of my business!). Then it’s really up to you what project/task management tool you use - ClickUp, Asana, Trello, Notion, etc.

  • Heck yes! If anything, it’s 10x more important you have a CEO Day. When you're a solopreneur, you're in charge of EVERYTHING in your business, not just client work.

Having a CEO Day set up and ready to go will give you some R-E-L-I-E-F as you balance all of your responsibilities and tasks as a service provider and CEO.

A CEO Day is also a great space to work on preparing your business (and yourself) to eventually hire and build a team.

  • A CEO is the visionary and decision-maker, the one who decides on the priorities and direction of the business. I’m willing to bet since you’re reading this page, that’s you!

CEOs focus on growing the business through strategy and new initiatives. They’re the life and heart of the business (and team, if there is one).

Implementing a repeatable CEO Day will help you to fully step into your role as CEO and adopt the CEO mindset you need to grow your business. --> So yes, you 100% still can (and should) have a CEO Day.

  • Anytime. Right now. Yesterday. Tomorrow. NOW.

When you're in the early building stages of your business, a CEO Day is vital to ensure you're taking care of your business systems and infrastructure while also marketing and serving clients.

When you're in the growing/scaling phase of business, a CEO Day is the weekly touchpoint to make sure you're on track, sticking to your predetermined strategies, making adjustments, gathering data, and looking ahead.

When you're in launch mode, a CEO Day is the weekly time and space to manage your launch, create launch content, write launch emails, etc.

  • Have one every.single.week.

A weekly CEO Day means you have guaranteed, dependable time set aside on your calendar for you, the CEO, to prioritize YOUR business. You’ll find you don’t push things to the back burner as often!

Plus, the weekly practice of a CEO Day builds consistency and healthy habits, which in turn drive up your efficiency. With consistency and efficiency (and great systems to keep you focused and organized), you’ll start seeing more physical (and mental) white space emerging!

  • If you’re pretty self-motivated and self-disciplined, the CEO Day Course is a great accessible option. The course is self-paced, so it’s up to you to go through the material, build out your CEO Day, and then work on building the weekly habit on your own.

If you’re tired of decision fatigue and/or want 1:1 guided support and expertise to design your CEO Day, a VIP Day is the better course of action. You’ll get my full attention and personalized recommendations as we collaboratively design your CEO Day. The VIP Day also comes with four weeks of high-touch accountability and strategic coaching, which is comes in clutch when you’re just starting out building the weekly CEO Day habit.
